A 32 year old man found dead at a secluded beauty spot near Llanfyllin has been named locally as Scott Blackwell.
The married man worked at Morrisons and was a former pupil of The Marches School and Technology College in Oswestry
Dyfed-Powys Police said the man’s body was discovered at approximately 10.15am on Monday morning on the banks of the River Cain.
A spokesperson said: “There do not appear to be suspicious circumstances at this time, and next of kin have been informed.”
Residents have been expressing their shock as news of the death of the local man broke in Llanfyylin.
Mayor, Ann Williams said: “It’s very sad and you feel for the family when something like this happens.”
