8AM UPDATE: Welshpool High School closed

Welshpool High School has this morning confirmed it will be closed today, meaning Christmas holidays have started early for kids.

Oldford, Gungrog, Ardwyn, Berriew, Buttington/Trewern, Llanfair, Forden, Castle Caereinion, Leighton, Llanfyllin, Maesydre are all among the primary schools that are closed while Llanfair and Llanfyllin High Schools have also now finished for Christmas. Montgomery Primary School is open at time of writing.
