Winners get to ‘taste Montgomery’
Meira and Geraint Jones from Bangor literally got to taste Montgomeyrshire when they struck lucky at the Eisteddfod held in Meifod recently.
The couple were the lucky winners of the Taste Montgomery Hamper which was a promotion organized to publicise all that’s good and tasty in the area.
Geraint said: “We spent two fantastic days in and around Montgomery. We’ll definitely be back. There's so much to see and do.”
Taste Montgomery is a group of producers, retailers and hospitality providers working together to promote their fantastic products in and around the historic yet vibrant market town.
Three members, Hilltop Honey, Monty’s brewery and Ifor’s Welsh Wagyu featured in BBC’s Countryfile broadcast from Powys on Sunday.
