Eighteen-year-old Callum Roberts has been loaned to Hednesford Town for a month by Shrewsbury.
The Welshpool youngster, who is the son of former Pool, Newtown and Llansantffraid midfielder Mark Roberts, has been on the verge of the first team and an ever-present in the Shrewsbury Reserve team this season.
He has been a part of the club’s first team squad a number of times this season and has been sent out to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club to gain some first team experience.
Hednesford manager Paul Casey said of the left back: “Callum has been on the fringes of the first team at Shrewsbury again this season and this will be a good move for him and us as he will be playing football at a good level.
“He comes to us highly recommended, has a good left foot and doesn’t mind putting a tackle in as well.”
