Rovers book final place
Waterloo Rovers have booked their place in the final of the Tanners Town Cup, following a dramatic semi-final win over Newtown Wanderers.
The sides were tied at 2-2 following extra time, but Waterloo held their nerve to advance 3-2 on penalties.
It was a good day too for their cross-town rivals Welshpool Reserves who thumped Llanfechain 9-2 in the Mid Wales Trophies Consolation Cup, round one. Llanymynech also won big to advance.
In the battle of the bottom two in Honda Division One, Guilsfield Reserves suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Llanrhaeadr Reserves. A win for Llanfyllin kept the pressure on the top while Berriew Reserves earned a point at Morda United.
Trewern United moved second in Mitsubishi Two following a 7-1 thumping of Maesyrhandir.
