Welshpool Town are edging away from the Spar Mid Wales League relegation trapdoor.

Improved performances under the management team of Chris Roberts and Neil Pryce continued yesterday with a 2-0 win over Radnor Valley at The Maesydre to keep them third from bottom. Nearest rivals Tywyn/Bryncrug lost 2-1 at home to Llandrindod.

And Llanfair are off the bottom of the Huws Gray Alliance League after winning a seven goal thrill on The Mount Field. They toppled relegation rivals Mold 4-3.

Jordan Stafford and Ehys Nash put Mold in the driving seat only to see Ben Jones and John Ashley level the scores before the break. Anthony Williams put Mold in front again but goals from Jamie Davies in the 61st and 62nd minutes sparked wild scenes on The Mount.

Guilsfield put up a brave fight against champions Prestatyn but went down 4-2  with Jake Cook and Chris Cathrall netting .
