Pool a step nearer safety

15/04/2017 @ 05:28

Welshpool took another huge step towards Spar Mid Wales League safety as they moved fourth from bottom with a win at Radnor Valley.

Pool have been much improved since the appointment of Chris Roberts and Neil Pryce as joint managers and were comfortable 3-0 winners today.

They had more reason to celebrate with the news that nearest relegation rivals Tywyn/Bryncrug went down 4-1 to champions Rhayader. There was a rare win for bottom side Montgomery who beat Hay on Wye 1-0.

There was no joy for Llanfair in their bid to avoid the Huws Gray Alliance drop, beaten 2-1 at Holywell. Guilsfield were twice pegged back in a 2-2 draw at Ruthin.
