Congratulations!

It was a memorable night for both Waterloo Rovers and Trewern United who picked up the wins they needed to secure honours.

In the amateur league’s top flight, Rovers (pictured) took the title following their 3-1 win over Caersws Reserves to mark a memorable return to glory following some uncertain weeks last summer.

Meanwhile, Trewern United ended their first season return to senior football with a 2-1 win over Newtown Wanderers to ensure they finish second behind champions Bishop’s Castle.

In a Facebook post last night, the club wrote: “The support we've received in the area has been unbelievable.”
