Barton quits Guilsfield

Danny Barton has stepped down as player-manager of Guilsfield, it has been confirmed tonight.

The Huws Gray Alliance side said it will issue a statement in due course but for now they have announced on Twitter that “Danny Barton’s reign comes to an end as he reluctantly resigns as manager”.

The club has added tonight that the new manager will be announced imminently.

Barton has been in charge for the past two seasons after taking over from Mike Parry, but he saw their top five bid this season fizzle out, finishing eighth on 43 points, a whopping 37 behind runaway champions Prestatyn.
