Monty win West Mids KO

Writing about success for our local shooters is becoming a regularity these days, and they have done it again by winning the West Midlands Knock-out on Sunday.

The team of shooters representing the Montgomery & District Airgun League faced a tough Shrewsbury League team at Victoria Hall in Broseley, but nevertheless returned home with the honours following a very competitive final.

With high scoring by both teams, it wasn’t until the last few shots were fired that the outcome became clear, with victory going to Montgomeryshire 208-201.3.

Richard Morgan (35.4), Joe Hilditch (35.5), and Paul Gwilliam (35.2) all shot possibles with Bob Griffiths (35.2) getting one for Shrewsbury.
