Technogroup Welshpool boss Chris Herbert has trimmed his playing squad as he prepares for the final run-in for survival.

The boss has completely transformed the side since joining the Maesydre set-up in October and built a strong squad of 22 players with 17 new signings.

But he has been forced to show four players that were on the fringes of the first team the door. The players released are former Guilsfield utility man Matt Newton (Wem), Glenn Evans (Rhayader), Callum Wright - left (Stafford Rangers) and Ilyer Haycock (Chester Nomads).

“They have decided to move on to gain first team football and everyone at Technogroup Welshpool FC would like to wish them luck in the future,” said Herbert. Coming in the other way though is centre half John Keegan who start his third spell with the club after signing from Rhyl.
