Cobra have ended their season with a trophy after beating local rivals Welshpool in the final of the Cambrian Training Mid Wales Shield.

With the new league format meaning the two will face off twice next season, the match gave us a taste of what’s to come.

And it was Cobra who came through 17-0 with tries for prop Nico Willliams and centre Sion Wyn-Williams with both converted by Will Worthington, who was playing at 10. Worthington had earlier opened the scoring with a penalty.

All the points came in the first half.
