Guilsfield draw - Pool win away
Two penalties failed to separate Guilsfield and newly relegated Rhyl in the Huws Gray Alliance opener this afternoon.
New signing Asa Hamilton converted the first spot kick for Guilsfield after 53 minutes but Rhyl also netted from the spot through Mark Connolly in the 66th minute.
Welshpool gorttheir Spar Mid Wales League campaign off to a flying start with a 4-0 win at Borth with goals from Ian Probert, Josh Morgan, Chris Roberts and Ricky Litchfield, but it was a bad start for title hopefuls Berriew, beaten 2-1 at home to Bow Street.
Llanfair started life back in the Spar with a 2-1 win at Churchstoke while in the second division Abermule and Llansantffraid drew 4-4 and Dyffryn Banw lost 3-0 at home to Hay St Mary’s.
