This weekend’s Classic Lanes Rally will again this year run in memory of Gill Wood who in 2016 lost her bravely fought battle with cancer, just weeks after her 50th birthday.
Gill was a major part of the organisation of the 2016 Classic Lanes working in the role of Secretary of the Meeting right up until her untimely passing.
“She was an inspiration and role model to everyone she met,” said a spokesperson.
The event will be supported once again by Philip Paul Car Centre and will support Cancer Research.
It will based out of the COWSCACC on Berriew Street Car Park and finish at The Oak, Guilsfield.
“This event is aimed at providing a good fun, no nonsense night of sport, hopefully providing a platform on which Novice competitors can enter the sport,” the spokesperson added.
“If you would like to donate to our chosen charity or would like to see the cars close up, we welcome you to the COWSHACC from 7pm on Saturday.”
The Welsh Border Car Club organising team were at Guilsfield Show last week (pictured) to promote the event and the sport as a whole.
