Can Technogroup Welshpool stage one of the greatest escape acts in football history?

Not many people will be betting against it today after The Lilywhites chalked up their second win in a row to send a message out to the Huws Gray Alliance that they are not dead and buried yet.

Guilsfield were always playing catch-up with Rob Cookson bagging his third in two games to bring the villagers level at 1-1, before Ross Frame and John Harris again brought Guilsfield even after slipping 3-1 behind. Rhos took a 4-3 lead but Frame’s second of the game in the 84^th minute rescued a point for the village.

Leaders Berriew slipped up 2-1 against Tywyn Bryncrug while Llanrhaeadr also went down 2-1 to Llanidloes. Llansantffraid Village capitalised with a 1-0 win at Aberystwyth Uni and Carno won 2-1 at home to Penparcau. Waterloo Rovers enjoyed a welcome 4-3 win at Dolgellau.

In Division Two, there’s no change at the top after Tregaron won 4-2 at Abermule and Montgomery recorded a massive 8-2 win at Four Crosses. Llanfair United slipped to a 4-0 defeat at Rhosgoch while Kerry’s title ambitions took a blow when they went down 3-0 at home to Bont.
