Guilsfield’s Harris in demand

Guilsfield midfielder John Harris is in talks with Shropshire side Ellesmere, but manager Russell Cadwallader says the midfielder is going nowhere.

Harris played a starring role in the village side’s midweek win at Penrhyncoch and will be a pivotal figure in the heart of the midfield as the games come thick and fast.

And while Cadwallader has waived the seven days and given Ellesmere permission to talk to Harris immediately, he believes the midfielder will stay.

“John is an important player to Guilsfield and I am confident he will stay because he has a big role at this club, not only this season but for next season as well,” said Cadwallader.

Earlier this month Guilsfield repelled the advances of Shawbury who went after another of its midfielders, Tom Coulson.
