Herbert lands Swannick and Pinch

Technogroup Welshpool manager Chris Herbert has signed two more players in time for today's match with high flying Rhyl.

Herbert has continued his re-building job by capturing the signature of Newtown defender Dave Swannick (pictured) and midfielder Danny Pinch from Gap Connah's Quay.

"I'm made up with both these signings," said Herbert. " Dave Swannick is an excellent signing who will add lots of experience and is a very tough player who takes no prisoners, he would be a major signing for anyone in this league."

Danny Pinch is brother of defender Gary and Herbert says he has lots of potential having been a sub most of the season for Gap.

"These signings are a statement to the rest of the lads in the squad; it shows that they need to be performing on a high level week in week out or their place could be under threat, as there are players out there who want to come to us and be a part of this squad."
