Williams extends Winter League grip

Mike (Bert) Willliams extended his grip on Welshpool Golf Club's Winter League comp-etion with another fine victory on Saturday.

He overcame blustery conditions to score 28 points in the stableford competition, edging out close rival Graham Moss by just a point with Ricvhard Evans taking third place on 25 points.

On Sunday the rabbits and tigers was played as a stableford competition and was won in convincing style by Dave Rowlands & Richie Aymes with an outstanding 33pts. Second were Graham Roberts & Ben Jones 28pts and third Charlie Emberton & Mark Williams losing on countback.
