Llani march on as Waterloo slip

 

Llanidloes Reserves stepped up their pursuit of the Montgomeryshire Amateur League Honda Division One title with an action packed 4-3 win at Carno Reserves.

 

Iestyn Penri, James Spooner, Matthew Jones and Nick Jones were all on the scoresheet with Sam Griffiths (2) and Craig Scott scoring for Carno.

 

Waterloo Reserves continued their unpredictable form, being held 3-3 at home by Churchstoke. Dave Lloyd, Scott Beddoes and Matthew Jones were on the mark for Waterloo with George Mellor, Stefan Alsdorf and Neil Yapp gaining a valuable point for struggling Churchstoke.

 

In Mitsubishi Division Two, Welshpool Reserves improved their promotion bid with a 3-0 win at lowly Dyffryn Banw Reserves. George Clifton (2) and Luke Weaver were on the mark.

 

Danny Hughes (2) and Craig Scott scored as Llansantffraid Reserves beat Morda Reserves 3-0 and Llanrhaeadr Reserves lost 2-1 at home to Trefonen.
