Montgomeryshire Amateur League Mitsubishi Two leaders Llangedwyn went nine points clear after a hard fought win at the weekend.

The leaders, who have played several games more than their closest rivals, beat Abermule Reserves 2-1, while Llanfechain and Kerry Reserves shared four goals.

Meanwhile, Maesyrhandir took three crucial points to ease their relegation woes in theta flight, but they left it late.

The Newtown side staged a tremendous comeback against bottom side Caersws Reserves who were reduced to 10 men whilst leading 1-0 through debutant Conrad Galloway.

Late goals from Jack Carroll and Jack Jarman were enough for Maesyrhandir to pull clear of the bottom two, and leave the Bluebirds in trouble at the foot of the table.
