It’s been four years since the pair last represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games, but in their big comeback, Guilsfield’s Oliver Gwilt and partner Daniel Font, from Mold, showed they are still the country’s top dogs!

In their first competition since that memorable event in Glasgow, the pair clinched the Badminton Wales Senior National Championships doubles title in Cardiff.

Both have had time away from the sport with Oliver (right) concentrating on work and Daniel (left) struggling with injury, but it was like they hadn’t been away at the weekend as they made their way back to the top.

Work commitments will prevent the pair from heading out on the circuit again, but there could be surprise appearances at events as the year progresses.
