Waterloo book a final date
It was a good day for Welshpool sides in the Montgomeryshire Amateur League with Town picking up a welcome league win and Waterloo Rovers booking a final date.
Rovers beat Llanfair United Reserves 2-1 to reach the final of the Tanners Town Cup, with goals coming from Nathan James and Charlie Proctor.
In the Mitsubishi Two division, Welshpool Town Reserves pulled clear of the bottom two with a 5-4 win over Abermule Reserves, while Carno Reserves hammered Kerry Reserves 7-2.
In the day’s other game that beat the weather, Churchstoke Reserves won 3-2 at Newtown Wanderers in the League Cup.
