Top three held in Amateur league

 

There’s no change in the top places of the Honda Division One after leaders Llanidloes Reserves were held to a 2-2 draw with Caersws Reserves and second placed Llangedwyn were held 1-1 at home by Guilsfield Reserves.

 

Tom Lapworth bagged a pair for Caersws Reserves to deny Llanidloes who scored through Matthew Jones and Nick Jones.

 

Meanwhile Sam Griffiths’s wonder strike cancelled out James Broadbent’s strike for Llangedwyn.

 

Improving Berriew Reserves recorded a welcome 3-0 win over Waterloo Reserves with Tom Gethin, Sam Andrew and Dave Jones on the mark. Carno Reserves stepped up the assault at the top with Ioan Humphreys and Craig Scott scoring in a 2-1 win over Churchstoke. Huw Roberts replied.

 

In Mitsubishi Division Two, Llenfechain’s title ambitions were hit when they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Llanrhaeadr Reserves. Bryn Thomas scored for the high flyers with Paul Jones replying for Llanrhaeadr.

 

Kerry Reserves put six past Dyffryn Banw Reserves with only one in reply. Carl Danson (2), Elliot Smith, Paul Jones, Nick Davies and Luke Mumford all scored. Lansantffraid Reserves and Llanfair Reserves fought out a rare 0-0 draw. Waterloo Colts chalked up a 3-1 win over Trefonen with Shaun Roberts (pen), John Jones and Rhys Jones on the scoresheet.
