Lead cut at the top

Llanrhaeadr have closed the gap at the top of the Spar One division after a thumping victory at the coast on Saturday.

Their 9-2 win over lowly Borth at Aberystwyth saw them cut Welshpool’s lead at the top to two points, with a whopping five games in hand.

Llanfair United cemented their top six place with a 3-1 win over Carno, while Berriew slumped to a shock defeat at Machynlleth.

In Spar Two, Llansantffraid Village opened up a four-point lead at the top with 5-1 at Dyffryn Banw.
