“Exciting times ahead” for Rugby Club

Welshpool Rugby Club will be hosting its Annual Meeting on June 7 at 7pm, and is appealing for more people from the town to get involved.

With the numbers of players growing through all age groups, the club says it could do with more peoplebehind the scenes to pitch in and help the club expand.

“We would love to welcome everyone whether they are entirely new to the club, an existing member or have historical links with Welshpool RUFC,” said Chairman, Tom Carter.

“There is a real opportunity to become part of an exceptional club which is growing and going from strength to strength in all aspects.

“We have active teams from juniors through to seniors for girls, boys, men and women as well as an excellent social set up in a wonderful family atmosphere.

“We have lots of exciting developments and events lined up for the coming 12 months and we would love more people to get involved.

“This year we will need people in all manner of ways, from coaching roles and playing roles to taking up positions on the extremely proactive, forward thinking committee.
