Rix has all the tricks

It was a night of high scoring as the Newtown Premier Darts League entered its final weeks.

Newtown player, Dave Rix, hit the evening’s highest checkout of 106 during his 4-2 win over Neil Astley.

But it was another Newtown player, Steve Price, who stole the evening with an incredible five scores of 180, four of which were against Sean Barnett in a 4-2 win.

He also defeated the in-form Nathan Dobson, 4-2.

The league’s top two players, Gareth Ashley and Mitch Butler, both continued their good runs with Ashley needing just one point to qualify for the finals’ night.

Wins for Chris Hurds, Craig Davies and Garry Jones helped their cause too with the season edging closer to its September conclusion.
