No giant killing for Pool, Guils

Tuesday night’s Nathaniel MG Cup action went the way of the Welsh Premier sides, but our local teams can hold their heads high.

Welshpool Town actually took the lead with a superb Ricky Litchfield strike early in the second half, but it only spurred Aberystwyth Town into action and they replied with two quick goals before adding a third to secure the win.

Up at Bala, Guilsfield toiled hard before going down 3-0 to the Lakesiders.
