Weaver takes Club Championship
Brendan Weaver clinched the Club Championship at Lakeside Golf Club following two excellent rounds.
Weaver carded 73 and 78 for an aggregate score of 151, and a four-shot winning margin from Kevin Lloyd, the day one leader, in second.
Alan Davies shot consistent rounds of 79 and 77 for third, with Marius Van Lill in fourth.
Lloyd, a 10-handicapper, romped home in the Nett Division courtesy of his day one score of 72 giving him a Nett 62. Vojka Turner also shot a 62 but lost on the countback, with Anthony Laughlin coming in third.
In the ongoing Summer League, Joan Evans tops the standings with Sian Miles in second and Jane Rix in third.
In the Grant’s Day stableford, the top three had to be separated by a countback after all carded 39 points. Garry Jones got the nod ahead of Danny Miles in second and Nick Rawlings in third.
