Game abandoned after injury

11/12/2018 @ 12:29

Welshpool’s WRU North Wales Division Two rugby match with Llanidloes was abandoned on Saturday following a nasty looking injury.

Young prop Latham Evans was injured following a tackle and with the ambulance being unable to reach the scene for 90 minutes, there was not enough daylight left to complete the match.

The good news is that Evans was not seriously injured and he was up and about the following day, with the match to be rescheduled.

Newtown took advantage of COBRA being tied up in the Bowl by picking up a bonus point 30-10 win at Abergele to go second.

In the WRU National Bowl, round four, COBRA battled hard at Penygraig but lost 6-5. Tonight (Tuesday) they will look to bounce back at home to leaders Wrexham in the cup with a 7.30 kick-off.
