Mann signs for Newtown

Welshpool Town youngster Jake Mann has made the step-up to the Welsh Premier League with Newtown.

Newtown manager Chris Hughes said Mann had impressed in the development team at the Robins and has also been featuring for Welshpool Town in Mid Wales League.

Hughes said: “Jake Mann has done really well for the Under-19s, Jake is a very good young player and it is important to have Under-19s players see that if you do well then there is a pathway to the first team like Jake and Will Evans.

“So there is an opportunity to progress so that’s important.”
