Guilsfield are on the look-out for a new manager after Nathan Leonard announced that he was standing down.

Rumours started circulating last week that the highly-regarded manager was considering his position at the Huws Gray Alliance club, and he confirmed it last night with the release of a statement.

In it he said that it was a “very difficult decision” that he had taken after 6/7 weeks of consideration.

“It’s been a privilege to manage the club the past two seasons where we’ve had two really good league seasons finishing fourth and sixth, and also some good Welsh Cup runs,” he said. “It’s a decision I didn’t want to make but I know in the long run it’s the right decision.”

The club thanked Leonard, who was a player (pictured) before stepping into the managerial role, for “everything he has done on and off the field for many years”.
