Trewern’s veterans fundraiser

Trewern Football Club are setting themselves up for the new season with a showpiece 'friendly' at the end of the month.

The current side will face off against a team of past players on July 27, followed by an 80’s themed night at the Westwood with popular DJ, Lawrence Chapple-Gill, to raise funds for the club.

Past players to have confirmed include Garry Foster, Mark Emberton, Darren Gill, Sam Ward, Ryan Evans and many more.

“If people are interested in playing for the vets/past players please can they contact the club,” said a spokesperson.

In the original Vets game in 2016, the Vets won on penalties so the current XI will be looking to put that right.
