Guilsfield have a knack of upsetting the big boys in the Welsh Cup and this weekend they travel to JD Cymru Premier side Cefn Druids keen to spring a surprise.
The villagers, who have picked up major scalps over the years, have been in fine form since the surprise departure of Nathan Leonard last month, and will fancy their chances on the artificial surface at The Rock.
Newtown join Guilsfield in the third round with a trip to fellow top tier side Barry Town who they beat in a league dress rehearsal last week.
While the top six remains a priority for The Robins, they would welcome a cup run and boss, Chris Hughes, says his team is in confident mood ahead of another long trip south.
Both Llanfair United and Llanrhaeadr face away days in the JD Cymru North at Bangor City and Llangefni Town respectively, while MMP Mid Wales League leaders Llanidloes welcome Builth Wells for a top two showdown.
There’s a full programme in the MMP two divisions, while Guilsfield Reserves and Llanfyllin face long away days in the Emrys Morgan Cup.
