Storm Dennis smashed into Montgomeryshire just as many teams would have been expected to kick off on Saturday.

Early decisions were sensibly made by many clubs to cancel games on Friday, with the first complete wash-out of the season confirmed Saturday.

Many of the area’s sports facilities are underwater, and groundsmen will be making nervous inspections of facilities today to survey any potentially severe damage.
