Llanrhaeadr spring another surprise

18/08/2010 @ 10:25

Llanrhaeadr followed up their opening day victory at fancied Llanidloes with another victory on the road tonight in the Spar Mid Wales Division One.

The village side sprung another surprise by recording a 2-0 victory at Waterloo Rovers to make it two wins from two.

Berriew bagged another four to take the early top spot in the league with an impressive 4-1 victory at Carno.

It was a tight affair though at Dyffryn Banw who got off to a losing start at home to Llansantffraid Village. A single goal was enough for The Saints who hit the post with five to go through player-manager Chris Roberts.

Elsewhere, Bow Street beat Dolgellau 2-0; Builth Wells won 5-1 at home to Presteigne; Llanidloes won 4-1 at Newbridge-On-Wye while the west coast derby went the way of Tywyn Bryncrug who beat Penparcau 4-3.
