Pair nominated for ‘Performance’ Award

We never like to choose between two of our most successful athletes, but that is exactly what Welsh Athletics are asking us to do this week!

Adele Nicoll and Andrew Davies have both been nominated for the Welsh Athletics Performance of the Year 2020, and it goes to a public vote which will close on December 5.

Adele, who has spent her autumn training with the Team GB bobsleigh team, is up for her tremendous performance at the British Indoor Championships where she won bronze in the shot putt earlier this year.

Andrew, who has simply improved with age, has again proved his calibre this year by setting a V40 British Marathon Record (2:14.36).

The pair are up against strong opposition with 10 performances recognised in total for the newly introduced award.
