Golfers in Welsh finals

Welshpool are through to the finals of the Welsh Golf Scratch Team Championships after a brilliant victory over Swansea

Welshpool came out on top with a narrow 3-2 victory which sees the team captained by Dan Stephens reach the finals at Pennard Golf Club in August.
Tomi Bowen led the team out and had a comfortable 3 and 2 victory followed by ever consistent Jon Gamble winning his match 2 and 1.

Dan Stephens had a well earned half after being 4 down with 5 to play and had opportunity on the 18th to win his match but Jamie Waldron secured the win over Swansea by winning the last hole with a very calm up and down to also earn a half.

In the last match Richard Templeton had a tough battle with a strong opponent losing 4 and 3.
