Cricket club’s fundraiser

A local cricket club has raised thousands of pounds from a charity golf day held recently.

Montgomery Cricket Club gathered over 30 teams of four for the competition held at Oswestry Golf Club and organised by Andrew Black and Ian Fletcher. 

Club Chairman, John Barker, First Team Captain, Andrew Barker, and Youth Manager, Keith Griffiths are pictured handing a cheque of £2,000 to the Friends of Montgomery School.

A further £2,000 was also raised to go towards the club and the youth section in particular.
