Guilsfield back on track
Guilsfield got their season back on track with a 3-0 win against Llanidloes in the JD Cymru North last night.
The villagers got off to a flying start when a mix-up in the Llanidloes defence let in Ian Lewis to open the scoring after just three minutes. And the visiting defence was at sixes and sevens again after 27 minutes when Steve Blenkinsop made it 2-0.
The Daffs did rally after the break but could not find a way through and Robbie James made it 3-0 after 77 minutes to complete the scoring.
There was disappointment for Newtown in the JD Cumru Premier at Latham Park, surrendering an early lead to lose 2-1 to Penybont.
Fumpa Mwandwe put the Robins ahead after just seven minutes but Shaun MacDonald levelled for Penybont just eight minutes later. Sam Snaith won it for the South Walians in the 54th minute.
