Jones takes Captain's Drive-in prize

Welshpool Golf Club Captain Dai Ellis drove into office on The Golfa on Saturday and former captain Clive Jones took the competition honours.

A large turnout saw good competition but Jones came in with 42 points to secure a four point lead from second placed Dwaine Evans, who edged out Kevin Lloyd on the countback on 38.

Jamie Evans took fourth spot, also on 38, with Graham Moss taking the Over-65s porize on 38 and Ann Newell the Best Lady, also on 38.

Andrew Watkins was winner of nearest the pin in two on the 18^th hole.
