Ladies hit form in Aber
Two of the club's three teams finished in the prizes with Jo Ellis, Jill Gannon and Jane Webster winning with 69 points.
Tor Ashby, Ellen Jones joined with Sue Woodward, of Llanidloes, to finish second with 66 points.
Making the day extra-special was the fact that two of the players, Jo and Tor, were new to golf having joined the New2Golf sessions being run at Welshpool only last summer.
Captain of the Ladies section, Jane Webster, said: “It is wonderful to see such good results after their hard work playing in all weathers during the winter!”
Welshpool Golf Club is planning to hold more New2Golf sessions this summer, together with a course for junior players.
