Llanfair green to open Sunday

Llanfair Caereinion Bowling Club officially opens its green on Sunday with an open invitation to take part in a singles competition.

Anyone over the age of 10 is able to take part with bowls available for those wanting to give it a try.

It will run as a small leagues format with 10 ends per game so that everyone plays more than once. The top players will then go into the semi-finals.

The bar will be open and there is a prize pot of £50 for the winner and £25 for the runner-up. 

The draw will take place at 2.10pm, with games getting underway 10 minutes later.
