Another Welsh vest for Haydn

Welshpool runner Haydn Jones has been selected to represent Wales in the Home Nations International 5K road race which will take place next month in Tenby.

Haydn, 61, has qualified in the Over 55 age category, which means he was up against much younger runners to bag his place.

His last call up for Wales was over 20 years ago as a 40-year-old mountain runner and it follows up confirmation of his spot to compete in October’s London Marathon.

“This will be my 14th London Marathon and I hope it won’t be as brutal as my last which was held on the hottest day of the year in 2018!” he said.
