A back nine countback was required to decide the winner of the Bank Holiday Stableford held at Llanymynech Golf Club at the weekend.
Mark Davenport and Pete Faulkner both carded 41 points, but Davenport got the nod courtesy of a better back nine holes. Ralph Pell was third with 40 points.
On Saturday, 62 golfers from Llanymynech travelled to West Lancs Golf Club to compete in the Outing Cup.  Strong winds kept the scoring low but the overall winners of 4Ball Betterball Competition were Vice Captain, Andy Roberts and his playing partner, Alan Lewis with their score of 38 points.  Second place was taken by the team of Dave Lewis and Chris Tinsley(Jr) with 36 points who beat the team of Captain Paul Penrose and Dave Anderson into 3rd place, also with 36 points.
