Pool off bottom-Guilsfield beaten

Technogroup Welshpool are off the bottom of the Cymru Alliance League after winning 3-2 at Rhayader but Guilsfield went down 2-1 at home to league leaders Gap Connah's Quay.

Manager Graham Evans continued his team building job with a clutch of new signings and was delighted to travel back from Rhayader with all three points.

Scott Wright bagged a brace and debutant Dan Tolley got the third.

Guilsfield found league leaders Gap Connah's Quay too hot to handle, losing 2-1. Ross Frame was on target for the home side but Gap hit back through Gary O'Toole and a winning spot kick from Tom Baker after Tom Kelly handled in the box.

Spar Mid Wales League

Llanrhaeadr sit proudly at the top of the Spar Mid Wales League first division after returning from old rivals Llansantffraid Village with all three points following a 2-0 win.

Berriew are breathing down their necks. They recovered from the midweek setback at Waterloo to thrash Newbridge 7-1. There were hat-tricks for Martin Zieman and Will Thomas and another goal from Ed Baldwin.

Dyffryn Banw's disastrous start continued with a 4-2 defeat at Carno while in the second division Four Crosses picked up three points with a 1-0 win at Aberaeron with Gareth Jones their scoring hero.

The strengthened Abermule shared the spoils with neighbours Montgomery 1-1, Llanfyllin pulled off a surprise 3-2 win at Bont and Meifod went down 2-0 at home to Talgarth.
