Guilsfield manager Mike Barton (left) says he will fight to keep youngster Adam Jenkins at the village club.

Jenkins, the son of Trewern Primary School Head Colin Jenkins, joined Guilsfield from Technogroup Welshpool during the close season as the town side faced a mass walkout of playing staff after relegation from the Welsh Premier League.

But unable to secure a first team place Jenkins has been unsettled by seven days notice of approach from Pool manager Graham Evans, himself a former Guilsfield manager.

"I have had a good chat to Adam about the situation and I am confident that he will choose to stay at Guilsfield," said Barton, whose side entertain struggling Rhayader tomorrow.

Barton once figured in goal for Rhayader so will want to put one over on his old club but continues to be without the injured Gareth Jones. Barton adds Mike Sawtell to the squad.

Montgomery will be in slateland as they pursue their hopes in the Welsh Trophy. Clive McNamee takes his side to Blaenau Ffestiniog while Berriew also face an away day on the coast with a cup visit to Glan Conwy.

Llansantffraid Village manager Ray Jones is also on his travels as the villagers go north in search of cup glory and will renew aquaintences with former fellow Cymru Alliance and League of Wales rivals Mold.

Waterloo will be hoping to get back on track with a Spar Mid Wales League fixture at Builth Wells, Llanrhaeadr will try to forget last week's Welsh Cup defeat as they entertain Penparcau and Dyffryn Banw boss Chris Roberts wants his side to continue their improvement at home to Dolgellau.

In the second division Four Crosses entertain Rhosgoch, Llanfyllin are at home to Abermule, and Llanfair United entertain Talgarth.

In the JT Hughes Honda Division One Churchstoke entertain Carno, Llangedwyn are at home to Berriew and Waterloo Reserves take on Bettws.

In the Mitsubishi Division Two Trefonen go to Kerry, Llanfechain are at home to Waterloo Colts, Technogroup Welshpool go to Llanrhaeadr, Llansantffraid are home to Dyffryn Banw and Llanfair Reserves go to Morda.

On Sunday The Angel entertain Churchstoke at The Flash, The Crown go to Abermule and Forden travel to Llanidloes.
