Forden Utd thrashed 13-0 by Crown

27/10/2010 @ 05:45

Sunday League team Forden United could do little wrong last season - this time they are in crisis.

The runaway champions last season have already held emergency meetings to discuss the club's future and the latest blow has come in the way of a 13 goal thrashing.

And if things weren't bad enough their leading scorer has switched codes and smashed a hat-trick against his old club in the 13-0 defeat.

Tony Meredith bagged three as The Crown demolished Forden on Sunday and to make things even worse he happens to be the son of Forden Manager Graham Meredith.

Jamie Langford netted five goals  and there was also a hat-trick for Gareth Bromley and one each for Alex Bromley and Lee Jones.

Welshpool based Angel, who sprang a surprise by beating Forden in the Roger Breeze Cup Final last season, lead the league and won 5-1 at the weekend with goals from Luke Weaver(2), Stuart Buckley-Robins (2) and and Jack Buckley-Robins.
