Former Welshpool boss is Manager Of The Month

10/11/2010 @ 10:59

Former Technogroup Welshpool manager Tomi Morgan has been named Welsh Premier League manager of the month for October after Carmarthen's climb up the table culminated in a 4-2 away win at Airbus.
During the month, the Richmond Park outfit enjoyed home wins against Prestatyn (2-1) and Bala Town (4-1), a surprise 2-1 away win at Neath and a 2-2 away draw at Aberystwyth's Park Avenue, bringing a 13 point haul from five games.
Carmarthen had a poor start to the campaign under the experienced Morgan, who was handed a difficult task when he took the reins just before the start of the season.
Ironically as Welshpool face a turbulant month it is worth remembering that Morgan was sacked at The Maesydre by former chairman Steve Hughes after his side had beaten Carmarthen Town. The previous season Morgan had led Welshpool to the brink of a European place, only to be pipped by Llanelli.
