Any thoughts of Llanfair United being star struck in the second tier of Welsh football can be forgotten after they sent a clear message to the Huws Gray Alliance that they mean business this season.

The newcomers smashed many people’s favourites Prestatyn 4-1 away thanks to goals from James Davies, Luke Gethin and Joe Vaughan and an own goal.

That results puts them just behind Guilsfield who are second after losing their 100% record in a 1-1 draw at Flint Town United with Jack Harris scoring an equalizer in the second half.

Caersws picked up a much needed win when goals from Helder Ramos, Jack Bermingham and Josh Hartrick saw them beat struggling Buckley 3-1 away.

Waterloo Rovers failed to break Penrhyncoch’s winning start to the Spar One season after they went down 2-0 at the coast.

Penrhyncoch went a point clear at the top after Carno were stunned 4-3 at home to Hay St Mary’s who could be the league’s surprise package this season.

Elsewhere, Llanrhaeadr beat Bow Street 4-2 but Llanidloes suffered a miserable day at the coast, losing 4-1 at Tywyn Bryncrug who picked up their first points of the season. Welshpool have a late kick off.

Kerry march on at the top of Spar Two after an impressive 5-2 win at Radnor Valley, but Bettws slipped off the pace after being held 1-1 by Builth Wells at home. Berriew and Abermule have a late kick off.
