A Smaller entry of Otm cattle this week seeing at top of £898.80 (120ppkg) for a British Blue cow weighing 749kg from Francis Partners, Penllwyn. D W Davies, Penybank, presented a 716kg British Blue Cow making £830.56 (116ppkg). Cows 48 to 72 months topped at £870.66 (126ppkg) for a 691kg Simmental from JGH Griffiths, Bettws Hill. Heifers under 48months topped at £744.90 (130ppkg) for a Limousin weighing in at 573kg.

Heifers under 48 months (x1) averaged 130ppkg / £744.90.
Overall average of 101.38ppkg.

A smaller entry of cull ewes to start the year off. Ewes averaged £47.64 and rams £61.77. Topping the ewe section was Red House Farm, Aberhafesp, making £125.C E Pryce, Yr Helyg, presented ewes making £116. Ram topped at £110 from EL Evans & Co, Green Farm. 2 rams from Jones Bros, Rhiwaedog, made £107.
STORE LAMBS
An entry of 518 store lambs yesterday seeing a top of £65 for Texel tup lambs from NG & GG Davies, Trawsgelli. Mixed and clean lambs topped at £64.50 for 22 Texel x lambs from K A Jones, Penrhiw. Theave lambs topped at £62.40 for 19 mule lambs from EG & SA Watkin, Pantyfalog. Wether lambs topped at £57.50 from S Lane, New Hall.
Theave Lambs (153) averaged £54.38.
Mixed and Clean Lambs (176) averaged £53.32.
Wether lambs (13) averaged £42.58.
Tup Lambs (148) averaged £55.05.
